This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, research-driven environment while living in the vibrant, picturesque city of Christchurch.This permanent, full-time position involves providing specialist expertise in clinical immunology and immunopathology to patients and referrers across the Health New Zealand, Canterbury.Key responsibilities include:Diagnosing and managing allergic diseases, autoimmune conditions, and primary immunodeficiencies.Supporting the development of laboratory diagnostic services, particularly in autoimmune serology, allergy, and immunodeficiency.Contributing to the teaching of medical and scientific staff and supporting research initiatives.Providing consultative and advisory services for laboratory testing and clinical case interpretation.Participating in quality assurance, clinical governance, and interdisciplinary collaboration.To excel in this role, you will need:Essential Qualifications and ExperienceFellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (or equivalent).Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, including vocational registration in the specialty.Laboratory experience in immunology at a senior level.A current Annual Practicing Certificate and medical indemnity insurance.Why Join Us?Work in a state-of-the-art laboratory supporting advanced research and diagnostics.Enjoy a dynamic role combining clinical practice, teaching, and research.Be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to improving health outcomes.Live and work in Christchurch, a city known for its natural beauty, outdoor lifestyle, and vibrant community.Working for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellnesses.'
