Statutory Support Officer/Project Coordinator (Fixed Term)Department of Conservation
This role is a full-time, 12-month fixed term opportunity based in Hamilton, Christchurch, or Dunedin.
About the role: The Statutory Support Officer / Project Coordinator is an integral part of the Regulatory Services team, providing high-quality support, services, and project coordination.
Key responsibilities include:
Administrative support to the team, including project coordination tasks, coordination for Official Information Act, Ministerial and Parliamentary question requests, word processing, document management, and administrative support for public notification processes.Provision of personal assistance to the manager, including diary management, meeting support, drafting correspondence, arranging travel, and support for financial processes.Provision of communications support, including newsletters, surveys, presentations, website content, and reports.Skills and experience: You will have a strong administration background with demonstrated experience in administrative processes and services, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining calm under pressure.
In addition, we need someone with the following attributes: Uses initiative and independent judgment to deal with critical tasks.Professional interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet business-critical deadlines.Meticulous attention to detail.A customer-focused approach.Motivated, proactive, and enjoys a busy working environment.Contributes positively to a high-performing and engaged team.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.Desirable: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Tikanga Maori and Te Ao Maori or a willingness to engage.Knowledge of Department of Conservation processes and systems.What's in it for you?
