The employer has a large fleet of trucks and equipment.
The skills needed not only include experience across a diverse fleet of European and Japanese trucks but you will also need to meet the following requirements:
A relevant automotive trade certificateHeavy truck maintenance and repair experienceExcellent diagnostic skills - preferably experience with Jaltest universal diagnostic equipment or an equivalentExcellent hydraulic skillsGood basic electrical skillsFabrication skills would again be useful but not essentialThe ability to provide both technical support in the field and work in a tight knit team across 2 workshopsA willingness to work additional hoursPrevious fleet preventative maintenance experience is preferred but skills across multiple areas is what is soughtGearbox and engine rebuild skills would be useful, but are not essentialThe attributes sought
The technical specialists working for this employer are a tight knit team and there is extremely low staff turnover.
Aside from the obvious high hourly rate, you are going to need to be easy to get along with.
The company are a fleet maintenance and repair operation and the gear must keep running.
Sometimes that means working up to 55 hours a week, so it won't really suit the 40-hour working week mindset.
They really do need someone who has skills across a broad range.
