Safestore Containers is a New Zealand family-owned and operated company with self-storage facilities in Onehunga, Glendene, and East Tamaki.The Self Storage Facility Manager Onehunga/Glendene will play a key role in the Operations, Customer Service & Maintenance of both the Onehunga and Glendene storage facilities.
The Glendene facility is run as a satellite out of the Onehunga Head Office, so the position requires working between both sites.
A vehicle is provided for this purpose.You will be able to make a real impact in this business as well as being part of a small, friendly, and collaborative team.Reporting to the Owner/General Manager, you will:Oversee the daily running of both the Onehunga and Glendene facilities.Have a passion for great customer service.Have a hands-on approach to practical work duties.Facilitate the move-in/move-out of customers.Follow up on inquiries from our website and convert these into customers.Keep the facilities and premises clean and tidy.Intermittently assist customer loading/unloading with our forkhoist.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate.Deal with our suppliers and contractors when any maintenance issues arise.Undertake new projects and assignments as required from time to time.Ideally, you will have a "Hands-On, Can Do" attitude and will enjoy engaging with all sorts of people to help them solve their storage needs.
You will be computer literate and have a full NZ Driver's Licence.
Because of the nature of the position, it is preferable you are physically fit and enjoy an element of physical work as part of your daily activities.
The business is open 7 days a week, and working Tuesdays to Saturdays is a requirement of the role.Our experience is that this position is better suited to a more mature candidate who comes from a practical/trades background.In return we offer:Company vehicle and mobile phone.Full training.Flexible working environment and supportive work team culture.You will be primarily based at our Onehunga Head Office but will be required to be flexible and work across all our branches.
Direct self-storage industry experience would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.We will be assessing applications as they are received, so don't delay if you feel you'd be a great fit for this role.You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.
