Veterinary Laboratory Technician

The IDEXX laboratory team is currently seeking a Veterinary Laboratory Technician for a 4-month contract to cover our seasonal milk pregnancy testing. Working in our custom-designed site in Hamilton, NZ, you will process high-quality, efficient, effective, and timely diagnostic testing services for the IDEXX Reference Laboratories.As a technician, you will be responsible for setting up instruments, preparing, running, interpreting, and releasing results while troubleshooting performance, in compliance with IANZ certification requirements.You will have:A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree.Experience working in a diagnostics laboratory.Experience in serology is desirable but not essential.An understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025 standards.The ability to be flexible and comfortable with full-time hours between Monday-Saturday on rotating day shifts.Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment.A passion for providing exceptional customer service.Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.Commitment to our IDEXX values, diligent attention to our Quality system, and Health & Safety policies/procedures.What can we offer?Opportunity to join a fast-paced global market leader on the S&P 500.Investment in professional development and career growth.Brand new state-of-the-art facilities.Free wellness programs like Virgin Pulse, Fitness Reimbursements, Mental Wellness, and Healthy Weight Programs – ability to earn points and prizes for permanent employees.We help pets lead fuller lives.Why IDEXX?We're proud of the work we do because our work matters.
