**What you will be doing**

While working in the Quality Assurance Testing Laboratory and reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be a meticulous, quality focused and detail orientated individual who is dedicated to ensuring our products and services meet the required standards. The primary responsibilities of this position are the collection, preparation and testing of steel pieces for quality control purposes.

The team operates on a rotating day shift roster, of 4 x 10-hour days, this includes one Sunday per month, overtime may be required occasionally. Because of this unique shift roster long weekends (5 rest days) are provided once per month.

**What you will bring to the role**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good understanding of scientific and mathematical information preferably with mechanical workshop or laboratory experience.

Excellent communication skills are essential along with the ability to process data accurately, you need to hold a current full driver’s licence. A reasonable level of fitness is required in order to be able to gather samples from various locations, a Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science or a related field will be looked upon favorably.

You will need to be a team player, have an uncompromising attitude to safety and have the ability to work unsupervised when necessary.
