Manager Operations Parks Maintenance

As Operations Manager of Community Parks Maintenance, you will be an integral part of the Parks unit.
There are 900+ community parks making up 90% of our parks network.
This will be a varied role for someone who is excellent at building relationships both internally and with external stakeholders.
You will lead from the front with your extensive skills and knowledge to support your wider team of leaders (4 direct reports).
About the role | Ko te mahi nei Managing the maintenance teams that support our community parks (incl; Cemeteries, sports parks and neighbourhood parks).Liaising and directing both internal team and external contractors.Be a key contact and act as service manager for key parks contracts.Work with managers across the parks unit to ensure quality standards and customer service expectations are met.This role requires a high level of organisation which will allow you to coordinate and allocate staff in the unit.
You will have a high level of skill and experience as an operations manager or equivalent role in a medium to large organisation.
Skills and Qualification Formal qualification or significant proven experience in contract management specializing in Parks management or similar.Minimum 10 years relevant experience.Minimum 5 years in an operational leadership role.What's in it for you?

Hours of work - Fulltime Permanent Position
Location- This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch. Salary-The salary band for this position goes from $126,230 p.a.
to $140,255 per annum based on a 40 hour week.
Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
