Our team of passionate staff journey alongside individuals to support them in setting and achieving their goals.We are looking for someone with a passion for supporting people with high and complex needs to lead fulfilling lives in the community.Our services provide a safe and positive environment where our clients are assisted to achieve maximum independence.The Role:We are seeking a motivated and innovative registered health professional to lead our Dunedin Crisis Respite Service, manage our Otago based clinical team, and coordinate a passionate team of support workers to enable them to support people experiencing mental health challenges.The main responsibilities include making clinical recommendations, risk and behaviour management, and allocating daily staffing resources. You will also coordinate care and treatment plans with secondary services and other external stakeholders. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential. Training of support staff to increase their knowledge is also an integral part of the role.The successful candidate will be passionate about providing a meaningful and supportive environment for people in residential services to assist in gaining social, health, whanau, community, and cultural reconnection.Competitive, market range salaryOngoing training and upskilling opportunitiesFive weeks' annual leaveMonday - Friday working hoursDesired Skills:Registered Health Professional with a current practicing certificateExperience managing a teamDemonstrated leadership and coordination skillsAbility to develop, implement, and evaluate care plansExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the healthcare sectorStrong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skillsCapability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
