We are an award-winning; people-first, professional services firm operating in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.The Opportunity:As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in leading procurement planning, sourcing, and managing the delivery of goods and services, particularly those within Scientific/Professional Services and Digital domains.You will be an advocate for strategic procurement and commercial practices, providing expert advice to internal stakeholders and ensuring the effective implementation of procurement strategies.Key Responsibilities:Provide business partnership with internal customers to deliver procurement activities that result in great outcomes, value for money, and effective risk management.Identify and develop strategies for procurement risks and opportunities, including managing high-risk and high-value procurement activities.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement approaches, processes, resources, and systems.Develop and manage supplier relationships and contracts to ensure successful delivery.Support the development of procurement and commercial capabilities across the organisation.Collaborate with a team that values open communication, mutual support, and practical solutions.Skills & Experience:Proven ability to lead procurement activities (Scientific/Professional Services preferred, Digital desirable) and partner effectively with internal teams to achieve organizational goals.Experience in identifying and addressing procurement risks and opportunities, as well as implementing category strategies.Strong expertise in leading complex and business-critical procurement processes.Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems.A sound understanding of supplier relationship management and contract management.A team player who embodies values of boldness, expertise, and collaboration.About us:Augment Resources was formed by a team of specialist recruiters and procurement & supply chain practitioners setting out to deliver a unique customer service offering to both clients and practitioners alike.If you have any queries about this opportunity, please contact Matthew Templar on 027 594 2331 or ****** note: Candidates will need to demonstrate pre-existing right to work in New Zealand, be located in New Zealand and undertake pre-employment/background checks before commencement.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSupply Chain, Science, and PurchasingIndustriesTransportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage
