NZQA is looking for a dynamic and experienced education professional to join our team as a School Relationship Manager.In this role, you will work closely with schools and key stakeholders to lead quality assurance processes, support digital assessment implementation, and strengthen relationships across the education sector.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance: Conduct reviews of schools' assessment practices, ensuring compliance with NZQA policies and legislated requirements.
Develop action plans and provide support to address performance issues.Digital Assessment: Facilitate the rollout of NZQA's digital assessment platforms, building confidence and capability among school leaders and staff.
Resolve operational and technical challenges.Leadership and Support: Guide kura and school leaders in implementing assessment policies and resolving issues.
Foster culturally responsive practices to support equity for all learners.Training and Development: Deliver professional development workshops and resources to enhance leadership and understanding of quality assessment practices, including digital tools.Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted relationships with schools and key stakeholders, ensuring their perspectives are valued in decision-making processes.To be successful in this role, you will bring:Leadership experience in assessment processes, such as a Principal's Nominee or senior management role in kura or schools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver evidence-based solutions.Proven ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders and foster trust.What We OfferA meaningful role contributing to the quality and equity of New Zealand's national assessment systems.Opportunities to engage directly with schools across Aotearoa.A collaborative and supportive team environment.Flexibility to discuss secondment opportunities for those not ready to leave teaching permanently.This role is Wellington-based and requires regular travel to engage with schools.About usNZQA is a te reo Maori learning organisation and is committed to equity and lifelong learning.
