Our two naturally heated pools offer all year-round enjoyment.
We have a newly renovated gym and squash court, and our 9-hole golf course will reopen in September for the summer season.
It takes a lot to keep this property operating.
From our steam heat exchange system, general daily maintenance, grounds and gardens, electrical to general repairs, pool regulations, golf course management, preventative maintenance, cosmetic maintenance, general plumbing and drainage, sewage management, lawn mowing, asset management, vehicle maintenance, water testing… This hands-on position reports directly to the Chief Engineer and acts as the 2IC, focusing on delivering day-to-day activities to keep this property running smoothly - from changing lights bulbs to managing a sewage system.
You will drive accountability in the team with the underlining focus of professional workmanship, cleanliness and again safety by: Leading from the front Supporting team development  Improving productivity Actively involved in recruitment decisions Leading performance management  Delivering on preventative maintenance programmes Ensuring compliance of national legislation and local regulations You will be familiar and confident general maintenance, able to turn your hand to any task.
Ideally you will have a trade qualification or a proven background in a particular discipline such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HAVAC.
You will be hands-on in your leadership approach and be able to drive our team to be effective whilst demonstrating confidence under pressure.
We will be accepting applications from those with New Zealand supervisory experience in engineering, project management, or a medium to large scale commercial maintenance field.
