Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Senior Engineer to assist with our ever-growing workload in Matamata. This position is predominantly based in the Matamata office with flexibility to work within our Bay of Plenty (Rotorua and Tauranga) offices.Your role will require you to manage and carry out civil engineering and design for projects, preparing drawings in accordance with relevant standards and, where necessary, providing information and direction to draughting staff to produce 'finished' drawings/plans. You will be involved in the preparation of tender documents and assisting with the assessment of tenders.You will be required to supervise and administer contracts, attend client meetings, and undertake business development work associated with engineering projects. You will be responsible for managing, tracking, and reporting the progress of works and ensuring they are managed in accordance with the terms of their contracts and other authorities. Close liaison with Directors and Managers on job progress and particularly any indications that deadlines/targets may not be achieved.The right candidate will be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be able to self-manage.Your benefits include competitive remuneration, professional memberships paid for, strong and supportive team culture, strong professional development frameworks, and the ability to work from various offices around NZ (project and experience dependent).Requirements:Relevant tertiary education (BE, NZDE, BEngtech).5+ years' experience in the Civil Engineering Industry.Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D/12D.Understanding construction contracts specifically NZS3910.A high standard of written and verbal communication skills.A confident/professional approach whilst working onsite.Comfortable working out on site conducting inspections of work and resolution of issues.
