The Intrepid Hotel, a luxurious 18-room neighborhood hotel on vibrant Ghuznee Street, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Housekeeping Manager to lead our talented housekeeping team.At The Intrepid, we take pride in delivering a relaxed yet attentive experience with thoughtful touches for our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with leadership skills and a keen eye for detail to join a dynamic team and contribute to maintaining our high standards.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas.Develop and implement housekeeping schedules and staff rosters to meet operational needs.Lead, train, and support the housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure standards are met or exceeded.Manage inventory, monitor supplies, and coordinate ordering to maintain stock levels efficiently.Liaise with reception and other departments to ensure smooth communication and guest satisfaction.Enforce health and safety regulations and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Address guest requests and resolve any housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.Prepare reports on housekeeping performance, maintenance needs, and staff development.Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of housekeeping staff.Ensure proper care and handling of lost property and accurate record-keeping.What We're Looking For:Previous experience in a similar leadership role within hospitality or housekeeping.A proactive and can-do attitude with strong organizational skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and housekeeping best practices.Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.Why Join The Intrepid Hotel?Work in a luxurious, contemporary setting in the heart of Wellington.Be part of a supportive and friendly team committed to excellence.Opportunities for professional growth and development within a thriving boutique hotel.If you're a driven individual with a passion for hospitality and a dedication to creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
