'What will you do?We are seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer to join our dynamic Data and Analytics Team based in our Christchurch office.
In this role, you will develop and maintain our Enterprise Data Warehouse, integrating data from various sources to enable advanced analytics, reporting, business intelligence, and business-wide self-serve reporting.You will play a key role in helping us modernise our data platform and modernise our approach to data over the coming years.This is a full-time position and you will work a minimum of 40 hours per week and earn $90,000 to $100,000 per annum depending on your qualifications and experience.Key responsibilities include:Design, build, validate, and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions using skills in dimensional modelling and ETL techniques.Create data models that support reporting and analytical requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.Gather and translate reporting and data requirements into tailored solutions for self-service analytics and insights.Support data governance efforts by contributing to best practices and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand data needs, definitions, and structures.Support the future migration to a new data platform.What's in it for you?If you are the sort of person who loves working with a team of people who work to a clear purpose, you'll love this roleIn addition, a career at Ryman offers:Additional wellbeing leave and flexible working arrangements.Access to over 60 discounts with well-known brands across a variety of sectors including health and wellbeing, banking, insurance, and retail.Social club events, furry Fridays (bring your dog to work), free yoga classes and a free onsite gym membership.Who are you?You have proven experience as a Data Engineer or Data Warehouse Developer.You have a relevant Bachelor's degree or qualification in IT.You have strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration techniques.You strive for excellence and constantly look for ways to exceed expectations; delivering a high-quality service at speed will be second nature.You believe in the value of strong, positive, trusting teams who work together as one.As a resilient person you keep going, even when there are bumps in the road and you show composure under pressure.You value communication that is simple, clear and straight to the point.You have experience with several of the following tools/technologies: Wherescape RED, SSIS, Fabric, Azure Data Factory, dbt, SQL, Python, PowerBI, DAX, Power Query, and PowerBI semantic modelling.You value people and kindness and are passionate about delivering results.If you are interested in joining an organisation with a clear purpose and a commitment to innovation, kindness and excellence, we would love to hear from youAt Ryman, we support an environment where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.
