Team Leader Housing Support - Nelson at Kainga Ora – Homes and Communities, Nelson - MarlboroughLead an experienced front-line team to support our customers to live well in our homesShowcase your expertise in tenancy and property management in this diverse roleParental Leave cover until June 2026, at $131,727 (pro rata)As Team Leader Housing Support based in our Nelson office, you'll lead a team of Housing Support Managers and Senior Housing Support Managers covering the Nelson, Tasman and West Coast regions.
You'll ensure they have the right tools, guidance, and support to carry out their day-to-day activities to the best of their abilities.
You will be responsible for creating a safe and healthy work environment where customer outcomes, operational targets and positive people experiences are achieved.
You'll manage and monitor the health and safety of a largely mobile team, providing support and guidance as required to our people - travel will be required in this role, so flexibility will be important.
Your prior experience in people leadership, working on the front-line with our communities, and in tenancy or property management will set you up for success in this exciting opportunity with New Zealand's largest landlord.
If you have experience leading through change, a sound knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and a driven attitude, then we would love to hear from you.
Here's what you will bring to the role: Proven experience leading, motivating and coaching a high performing service delivery team, including managing staff development and performance.Experience with change management and leading through change.Experience working in a multi-faceted and demanding customer service environment, with knowledge of issues, priorities and concerns facing key customer groups.Demonstrated ability to lead planning to ensure team members have the right support and time to deliver on their priorities, including understanding portfolio numbers, workload, and specialised community needs.Cultural awareness to align approach to our customers' aspirations and preferences, particularly in working with Maori and Pasifika, with experience working with different cultures and/or community groups.New Zealand driver's licence is required (pool car provided)Nou te rourou - What's in it for you?
