Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Support Team Lead to join our team in Nelson. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Housing Support Managers and Senior Housing Support Managers across the Nelson, Tasman, and West Coast regions.

About the Role

You will ensure that your team has the necessary tools, guidance, and support to carry out their day-to-day activities effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading an experienced front-line team to provide excellent customer service and support our customers to live well in our homes.
  • Creating a safe and healthy work environment where customer outcomes, operational targets, and positive people experiences are achieved.
  • Managing and monitoring the health and safety of a largely mobile team, providing support and guidance as required.

This role requires flexibility, with travel possible throughout the region. You will bring a proven track record of people leadership, working on the front-line with communities, and experience in tenancy or property management.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience leading, motivating, and coaching a high-performing service delivery team.
  • Experience with change management and leading through change.
  • A sound knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and ability to apply it in a practical setting.
