About the Role As a Resource Management Officer, you'll combine your environmental and farming knowledge with a knack for problem-solving and relationship building.
Your work will include: Conducting fieldwork to monitor compliance and address complex environmental issues.
Building relationships with consent holders, industry representatives, and the community.
Providing advice, education, and support from the office when needed.
Investigating non-compliance situations and working towards the best environmental outcomes.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys a mix of field and office work.
What We're Looking For A solid understanding of environmental and farming practices.
The ability to manage shifting priorities and work independently under pressure.
Strong communication skills to connect with a wide range of stakeholders.
A calm and professional demeanor when managing conflict or complex issues.
Bonus points for experience in: Investigations or inspections within compliance or regulatory environments.
Farm or dairying systems.
Knowledge of environmental challenges specific to the Southland region.
Successful applicants will be police-vetted and participate in an on-call roster after training.
