When nature thrives, we all thrive.Here's your chance to join a small, high-performing team, in an integral position, supporting the way DOC partners with others to deliver on conservation outcomes.The role mainly focuses on:Contributing to the management of high-value commercial partnerships that contribute to our strategic growth, ensuring they align with organisational objectives and deliver value and impact.Working across multiple teams, both internally and externally, to enhance partnership effectiveness.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including National Partners, government agencies, iwi, community groups, and other key partners, will be crucial.Contributing to the team to deliver on partnership agreements through relationship management, project management, event planning, and reporting on all manner of outcomes that will stem from this work.
You will support collaborative thinking across staff, partners, governmental agencies, and communities, and work with teams to inform collaborative conservation planning.The work is varied, a blend of reactive and proactive, immediate, and strategic.
You will get exposure to, and experience in, virtually every aspect of work that the organisation does.

We will be looking for:Experience with partnership management.Experience with project management, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear reports.Strong decision-making and analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex information and develop plans.Ability to engage with iwi / hapu / whanau to achieve work aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi.High level of organisation skills and attention to detail.Ability to build excellent working relationships internally and externally.Experience delivering successful partnerships, including commercial and collaborative agreements.Knowledge of the Maori-Crown relationship and experience working in partnership with Maori.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
