Burwood Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for people in the Canterbury region.As a NZ registered Psychologist, with relevant postgraduate Diploma, this position provides the opportunity to work with people experiencing an array of factors affecting their wellbeing. We work in teams of doctors, nurses, and therapists to help patients reclaim areas of function in their lives that are impacted as a result of injury and illness. You will help patients (and their Whanau) to develop strategies to manage symptoms and disabilities, to manage pain, to adapt, and to re-establish integrity and independence. The patient population our teams serve spans a wide age range, from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds. Such diversity provides a stimulating mix of familiar and novel clinical issues and challenges.There are general and neuro-rehabilitation services, Older Persons Health, Older Persons Mental Health, and elective Orthopaedic surgery all provided on the campus.Ko wai koe | About YouBring your experience working with individuals and groups delivering education, biopsychosocial assessment, and evidence-based psychological therapies.
