We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist in the rural team of the Adult Community Mental Health Service, providing coverage to rural communities. This role allows opportunities to engage with the wider community and organisations to make a real difference for our rural Tangata Whaiora. The rural team covers an extensive area between Kaikoura to the north and the Rakaia River in the south. If you love working psychologically with a wide variety of people with significant mental health challenges using your skills in assessment, formulation, and psychological therapy - this is the role for you

You will be embedded in a supportive multi-disciplinary team based at Fergusson Building at Hillmorton Hospital. This is a great opportunity to join with the larger adult services psychology team and provides significant opportunities for professional development and progression, individual and peer supervision, journal club, and targeted professional development.

This role provides flexibility in how you deliver care - likely involving seeing consumers at Hillmorton, day travel for rural clinics, telehealth, and some inpatient consultation.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

You will require registration in the clinical scope of practice with the NZ Psychologists Board. Previous experience in the Adult Mental Health field is preferred but your other skill backgrounds or experience will be given full consideration.

The position is a busy role where excellent interpersonal skills and organisational skills are vital. You will draw on your mental health experience to deliver comprehensive assessment and support to clients and their families/whanau and will be an active participant in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with referrers and colleagues from other agencies.
