Add expected salary to your profile for insightsRoster is a 4 on, 4 off rotating roster where you work 4x 10hr shifts then have 4 days off.Start at 6am and work until 4:30pmTaylors Auckland is part of Linen Services, the largest textiles management and laundry operator in Australasia.
Our Linen Laundry manages the textile and laundry requirements of customers in the healthcare, accommodation, hospitality, and industrial workwear sectors.As a Linen Coordinator, you will work as part of a small tight-knit team to ensure that Auckland City Hospital has all the clean linen they require, so that they can care for the sick and injured.DutiesAs a Linen Porter, you will ensure the linen is delivered throughout the hospital to various linen cupboards.
This will involve (but not be limited to) completing duties such as:Carrying linen bundles to fill trolleys or shelvesUsing trolleys to transport stock throughout the hospitalVisually checking product for qualityCounting bundled linen into linen cupboards to match ordersCompleting manual and computer picking docketsFollowing safe work proceduresCollection of soiled linenCounting the stock in the linen room at end of shift to place orders from stock with laundrySkills / ExperienceGood fitness level with the ability to lift 5kg – 15kg repetitivelyFlexibilityWillingness to be part of our safety cultureTeam player comfortable working in a multicultural workforceAbility to read and understand instructions and apply the information to your workStable employment opportunitiesOn-the-job trainingSupportive and inclusive cultureSupportive work environmentsPlease note: As a pre-requisite for these roles, candidates will be required to undertake a Vulnerable Children's check including Police vetting and may be required to complete a Pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.This role requires all workers on Hospital sites to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including at least 1 booster dose.
