Senior Medical Officer - Maternal Mental Health, Te Whatu OraWe are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Maternal Mental Health – Perinatal Team working in the vibrant and culturally diverse community of South Auckland.The Maternal Mental Health team is our multi-disciplinary specialist team providing assessment and treatment to pregnant women and those with an infant up to 12 months old.This role is primarily focused on assessment and treatment to pregnant women, though it also interfaces with our Whakatupu Ora Infant Mental Health team, which provides assessment and therapy for children (0 to 4 years) and their caregivers.
There is a shared Multidisciplinary team meeting, allowing for consultation and joint work from both perspectives.
We are based at the Springs Road site in East Tamaki, and the teams provide clinic and community-based services for whaanau in the CM Health area.As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be engaged in core clinical activities such as treatment planning and the development of recovery-oriented interventions that are culturally relevant to our service users and their whaanau.
