Unique opportunity for a senior quality officer who thrives in developing a quality culture of high performers21st February, 2025Are you a seasoned all round senior quality officer that understands the full scope of quality systems in food manufacturing, and is ready to share their knowledge and foster a strong quality culture?Our client is a well-established international food-grade milling business based in North Waikato, supplying high-quality products to New Zealand and global markets.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Officer to maintain and enhance quality and food compliance systems across the North Waikato site.Key Responsibilities:Lead and facilitate internal audit programs and participate in external audits.Manage the supplier approval system, including conducting and reviewing supplier audits.Act as the lead trainer for food safety and quality systems, developing training programs and educating team members on the correct procedures necessary to achieve compliance standards.Maintain and update quality systems documentation, ensuring compliance with quality assurance and control regulations.Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.Investigate and respond to customer inquiries and complaints, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety obligations.Qualifications and Experience:This role would suit a candidate who not only has a strong QA background but also has demonstrated leadership experience and a talent for influencing positive change, and can confidently lead and train within production.Ideally a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.A tertiary qualification in Food Science or a related discipline.Previous experience in a senior quality assurance or compliance role, preferably within the food or milling industry.Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and BRC standards, and internal auditing processes.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to follow and improve established protocols and procedures.Experience managing documentation and compliance elements within quality assurance.Benefits:This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated quality professional who is available immediately and keen to get stuck in and make their mark on this business.Competitive salary and career growth opportunities.Ongoing temporary position with a reputable and stable company.Great support and guidance from senior management.To apply for this role, you MUST be a New Zealand citizen, resident, or have secured the right to work in New Zealand.If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply online now or contact us for further details:Sarah Coad - Senior ******(09) 200 3125Apply For Job
