General Motors National Technical Specialist in Auckland , New ZealandJob DescriptionAn exciting opportunity for a National Technical Specialist to join our growing team in a fast-paced environment leading Australia & New Zealand automotive industry.
This is a unique opportunity where you will manage and support service activities nationally while building strong relationships with our dealer network, direct-to-consumer clients, and internal teams.Responsibilities but not limited to:Escalate product issues and develop solutions to resolve supply challenges.Manage the loan tool program and support recalls, warranty cases, and safety campaigns.Collaborate with teams to process warranty claims and resolve dealer/fleet/third party supplier service complaints.Support service operations for GMSV and Cadillac NZ, including diagnostic assistance – where required.Maintain compliance with GM processes, service policies, and environmental standards.What We're Looking For:Industry-qualified trade-certified mechanical engineer.Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive aftersales operations, preferably with a vehicle manufacturer.Proficiency in IT diagnostic software and tools.Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Customer-focused with the ability to build relationships across all levels.Preferred QualificationsTertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience in sales/marketing or aftersales with a major vehicle brand.Why Join Us?At General Motors, we value diversity, safety, and environmental responsibility.
