Team Lead- Integrated Operations - Team ZRocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems. Neutron will be our next rocket on the launch pad, an advanced 13-tonne payload class, reusable rocket to launch the mega constellations of the future. Our space systems business includes our extensive line of satellites and components that have enabled more than 1,700 missions including the James Webb Space Telescope, NASA Psyche Mission, Artemis I, Mars Ingenuity helicopter, and more.Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heightsABOUT THE ROLE:The Team Z Lead is a first-line manager responsible for leading a team of Ground System test and launch operations engineers within Integrated Operations. Primary responsibilities include providing leadership and technical expertise with focus on team performance, quality, schedule delivery, efficiency, and safety. The Team Z Lead is also responsible for performance management and development of the team.YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:Aerospace, mechanical, electrical, mechatronic engineering degree or equivalent2+ years of experience in project engineering4+ years of experience in engineering design, test and/or operationsExperience in launch vehicle or spacecraft test, launch, or mission operationsAble to motivate and enable a team to deliver on-schedule and on-budgetStrong background in technical areas related to test & launch operationsSelf-driven, motivated and contagiously positiveStrong communications skillsCareful work ethic with an eye for detailEffective organisational skillsTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:2+ years of experience in engineering management6+ years of experience in engineering design, test and/or operationsDemonstrated experience in development of test facilities, launch sites, and/or mission operations facilitiesExposure to FAA, NASA, RCC, USAF compliance programsSalary dependent on experience: between NZD$100,000- NZD$ 125,000FOR CANDIDATES SEEKING TO WORK IN NEW ZEALAND OFFICES ONLY:For security reasons background checks will be undertaken prior to any employment offers being made to an applicant.
