What you'll do

This is an exceptional opportunity to further build your experience with one of New Zealand’s largest employers. As part of our high performing team you’ll be joining a fast-paced, dynamic organisation where we are proud of our customer centricity and our ability to make a real difference for our teams within a complex, large-scale, matrix environment. Responsible for end to end people partnering across leaders and teams, you will play a key role in our ‘Team First’ approach to business partnering, supporting simplification of the way we work, and critically, value creation through delivering effective people solutions.

As a trusted People Experience Partner (Senior People Partner), you will be responsible for developing the next generation retailers and leaders. You will deliver best in class people experiences, leverage Group-wide people initiatives, and drive sustainable change outcomes as we continue our transformation journey. Working with Stores across South & East Auckland/Waikato/Tauranga, you will be hands-on in managing a broad set of relationships and will be accountable for people outcomes across the region you support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic HR Business Partner for stores across the South & East Auckland, Waikato through to Tauranga.
  • Establishing great relationships with key stakeholders to allow you to partner across the people model to deliver outcomes.
  • Implementing HR team objectives aligned to relevant HR people strategy for your Zone.
  • Shape data-led people priorities that underpin our Business Strategies, partnering across the people model to deliver outcomes.
  • Building team connection to Purpose & Business Strategies through shaping team narrative & engagement plans.

This portfolio covers 50 stores across south and east Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.

What you'll bring

You’ll have proven generalist experience, ideally gained within a multi-site, retail environment where your professional nous, strong relationship and engagement skills, and ability to apply and adapt people solutions that enable strategy, stand out. Previous experience in managing change, a practicable understanding of NZ employment legislation, and coaching and supporting a wide range of store leaders, is key. Previous exposure to delivering People solutions in an agile environment is advantageous, but not critical.

What you'll experience
