Right now, we’re looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner who can turn numbers into real-world strategic impact. Someone who can make sense of complex data and market trends to inform commercial strategy and help the business make the right calls at the right time. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with expert modelling and finance experience who is ready to take the next step into a more commercial, strategic role.

It’s a high-visibility, high-impact role where your top-notch modelling skills and insights will shape pricing, forecasting, and strategy decisions. You’ll be out there building awesome relationships, partnering with teams, solving problems, and making it better for the business and for Kiwis.

The role

At Electric Kiwi, Finance isn’t a back-office function, it’s a key part of shaping our strategy. We move fast, and we need someone who can think commercially, model accurately, and influence decisions with data-led insights. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Financial modelling and forecasting: You’ll be building models that help us predict, plan, and pivot when needed
  • Driving commercial insights: Partnering with teams across Finance, Wholesale, and Customer to help shape smarter business decisions
  • Pricing strategy & market analysis: Ensuring our pricing stays sharp and compliant in a competitive market
  • Optimising our hedge portfolio: Supporting market and risk analysis to keep us ahead of the game
  • Leveraging AI and automation: Using smart tools to improve modelling, forecasting, and decision-making.

Who we’re looking for

You get what great finance business partnering looks like. It’s about more than just reporting. It’s about leveraging the awesome relationships you build across the business, turning insights into action, and helping teams across the business make faster, better decisions.

  • 4-6 years’ experience: in a finance or commercial role. CA or CFA qualification would be a bonus.
  • Next-level financial modelling skills: your financial models won’t just predict the future, they’ll help shape it You’ll be driving strategic decisions that make a real difference.
  • Excel & SQL expertise: you can wrangle large data sets with ease.
  • Strong commercial acumen: you don’t just crunch numbers, you understand what they mean and how to use them.
  • A problem solver: when something doesn’t add up, you figure out why.
  • Awesome relationship builder: you put yourself out there with key stakeholders.
  • Great communicator: you know how to present insights clearly to help non-finance stakeholders make smart choices.

If you’ve worked in energy or telco retail, or consulting that’s a bonus. But that’s not a deal-breaker. We just need you to be a fast learner who loves a challenge.
