Your primary responsibility is placing people into work, so you'll need to be a real "people person" with excellent communication ability relating to our clients and employers.You will use influence and networks to seek out current and future employment opportunities from employers in primary industries. This will involve cold calling, the use of technology and networking to bring in great opportunities for our job seekers. You will also be able to profile job seekers to employers and build long term professional relationships that go from strength to strength. You’ll work alongside Case Managers and other Service Centre colleagues to ensure sustainable employment outcomes are achieved.This role takes a lead in engaging with Health Care, Construction, Retail Trade, Education & Training, Manufacturing, Horticulture and other industries to support engagement and recruitment of our clients into seasonal and permanent opportunities, sourcing clients for recruitment and training programmes, and other labour market activity as required.Key duties and responsibilities:• Work with employers to establish and promote vacancies, complete recruitment process and support induction.• Educate employers on details of our Products and Services.• Work with colleagues across the region including Work Brokers and Case Managers, to connect clients to seasonal and permanent work available in the region.• Provide in work support to clients placed in employment.• Ensure that internal systems are kept up to date, recording all interactions with employers and clients.• Work with the Labour Market Team to complement Immigration, Skills for Industry and Cadetship work programmes.• Support Connected and Service Centre activity, which may include reporting, spreadsheet analysis, outbound calling and texting.A fast-paced, pressured environment is where you thrive, and you enjoy using your tenacity and initiative to find solutions and achieve goals.What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitūWe are seeking candidates with the following essential attributes and skills that are crucial for success in this role:Influencing skills: Ability to persuade and negotiate effectively to achieve positive outcomes.Proactive Networking Skills: Capacity to build and maintain valuable professional relationships with the community.Public Speaking and Presentation Skills: Strong communication skills to engage with clients, employers, and stakeholders.Promotion and Marketing Ability: Skill in promoting opportunities and services to the job seekers.Strategic Thinking Skills: Capability to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve goals.Resilience: Ability to adapt to challenges and setbacks while maintaining a positive attitude.You will need to have a full and clear driver’s licence and the ability to travel around the Northland region as required.What's in it for you | Nōu te rourouJoining MSD means being part of a whānau that celebrates the diversity everyone represents.
