Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The purpose of this role is to provide technical expert architecture knowledge and design services to deliver solution architectures and designs that meet business needs. As part of the Architecture Chapter, this role will be expected to contribute to improving the processes and defining design patterns and monitoring junior architects as required.
NZTA Waka Kotahi is embarking on a new journey for the organisation and we require Senior Solution Architects across all disciplines to grow with us as an organisation. We are passionate about the outcomes we deliver.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Solid Experience in design of complex technology solutions
Solid Experience interpreting business needs and translating these into practical designs
Solid Experience in leading, influencing and building credibility across a range of stakeholders
Solid Experience in the use of multiple modern technology methodologies and frameworks
Solid Experience in modern toolsets and approaches e.g. collaboration, automation, security, cloud
Solid Experience in Architecture modelling tools and frameworks e.g. TOGAF, Archimate.
Solid DevOps and Architecture design experience.
Minimum 5 years in the Solution Architecture domain
Solid understanding of modern mobile development methodologies and languages.
Experience in mentoring and upskilling others on architecture & software design concepts and approaches.
Ideally has been part of large scale agile mobile application projects in an Architecture capacity.

Qualifications:

Tertiary level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
