This platform empowers users, developers, and brands to create interconnected experiences.The Readyverse will uphold the principles of the open metaverse, including provable digital ownership, community-owned infrastructure, decentralization, security, and interoperability. It will be built utilizing Futureverse's extensive technology platform.Reporting to the Technical Director, the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer (QA) will drive quality practice and set a culture of accountability across Readyverse. You will develop and execute test cases, plans, and strategies to ensure that the product is thoroughly tested, identifying defects and issues before it is released to the market.This role will:Work with Engineers and Game Developers on a testing plan and a robust pipeline to ensure the highest quality of our products.Work with Product teams to identify risks early in the lifecycle and implement safeguards.Identify external/internal security risks in traditional and web3 applications to take preventive action.Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and outline testing plans, risks, and develop robust testing.Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.Design, develop and execute automation scripts using appropriate tools.Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.Promote test automation in all areas of the stack by facilitating tooling and platforms for automating.RequirementsExperience testing in a game development environment.Experience writing rigorous test cases that identify high-value and high-risk areas of the product.Experience with automation platforms to automate daily testing tasks.Experience developing testing pipelines and plans.Experience in a web3 development team, interacting with web3 applications is advantageous.At this stage, only looking for applicants based in New Zealand.Nice to have:AWS Serverless infrastructure and CloudWatch monitoring.Proficient with task management software (JIRA or similar).Experience leading small agile/creative teams from prototyping to release stages.Web3 general knowledge & interest.BenefitsWe're a great place to work at:Experienced and wickedly talented team and growing.Modern offices just off K-road.Plenty of opportunity.Real work-life balance.We can offer:Great variety (no two days are the same).Exciting international projects.The right salary.Flexibility with WFH options.The chance to be part of the next generation of the internet...the decentralized Metaverse.The following benefits are currently only available to New Zealand-based employees:Free Health Insurance or option of Health Now.Day off to celebrate your birthday.Sick leave from day one.Additional parental leave entitlements.If you enjoy being around creative people who are pushing the limits of design and technology, we want to hear from youFor more information on Readyverse, please visit
