We are seeking a Clinical Leader with energy, resilience, commitment and drive, who can inspire and lead our team based in Auckland. This is a permanent 0.9 FTE role which can be worked as Mon - Fri shorter days or a 9 day fortnight.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

You will motivate and manage a team of Registered Nurses, Community Health Workers, and Kaiāwhina to deliver our Well Child Tamariki Ora service to whānau in our community. As a part of a supportive management team who are committed to continuous improvement of service delivery. This is a dynamic role where front line needs will mean you will pivot to respond to the changing demands while maintaining a solid rhythm for your team.

He kōrero mōu | About you

As an experienced clinician, you'll have prior experience growing and developing kaimahi to be the best versions of themselves. Your time management and adaptability will ensure your team have timely support to do their mahi well. This role calls for someone that embraces working in partnership with your team, your colleagues and the whānau we serve, who are our ultimate priority.

Critical thinking and reflective practice will drive your approach and contribute to our collective solution-focused mindset. Finally, your teams' success will be strengthened by your ability to understand and interpret data to make decisions. You will also bring a deep desire to create and contribute, and a willingness to take risks and challenge the status quo.

Nga pūkenga motuhake | Important skills and qualifications
  • The right to work in Aotearoa
  • A full or restricted licence
  • A current NZ Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build strong professional relationships with staff and stakeholders
  • Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and its application to improving health outcomes for whānau Māori, as well as a commitment/interest in Te Reo Māori me ngā tikanga
  • An understanding of equity and how this applies to your practice and health outcomes
