About the Role:
The CEO will oversee the recruitment, placement, and management of apprentices across various trades, ensuring their successful training and integration into the workforce. Collaborating closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO will shape the organisation's strategic direction, build strong community and industry partnerships, and uphold financial sustainability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement plans aligning with the organisation’s mission.
  2. Apprenticeship Management: Supervise all aspects of apprentice recruitment and training placement.
  3. Partnership Development: Foster relationships with schools, businesses, and government entities.
  4. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, planning, and financial reporting.
  5. Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a team of professionals.
  6. Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to legal standards, especially in health and safety.
  7. Community Engagement: Represent the organisation at events and in the media.
What You Bring:
  1. Proven senior leadership experience in a relevant industry.
  2. Strong understanding of New Zealand's apprenticeship system.
  3. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Demonstrated financial acumen and budget management expertise.
  5. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are advantageous.
