This newly created role will support the Head of Compliance and will see you rolling up your sleeves and being 'hands on' operational to ensure continuity and stability in the regulatory and compliance operations.The Role:Develop and maintain strong relationships with key regulatory bodies regarding compliance issues, audits, and reporting requirements.Update policies and procedures and implement strategies to address key person risk.Maintain a comprehensive compliance risk management framework with regular reviews and updates.Prepare compliance reports to senior management and the Board Risk and Audit Committees.Deliver training programs and informational sessions for senior leaders and managers.The Person:Must have an understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the banking industry including the RBNZ, AML Control Act, FMA, and Deposit takers.Ability to interpret and operationalise regulatory requirements.7 years+ experience in compliance and regulatory affairs within banking or the financial services industry.Proven experience in managing regulatory relationships and interacting with regulatory bodies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to mitigate risks effectively and provide solutions to complex proposals.Leadership and team management skills.Excellent written and spoken communication skills.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Your strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance best practices will see you succeed in this position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
