This is an important region with many of NZ's largest businesses present (particularly in the F&B space).What you'll be doing | Te whakamahereYou will lead a highly experienced team of professionals, working across the Greater China region, to create partnerships and maximise the value our customers can create and capture in the region. This involves assisting them to enter, connect with and grow in the market. Given the maturity of these markets this is also about supporting customers continuing to grow by leveraging NZ Inc and the government's imprimatur.Reporting to the General Manager International, and as a member of the International Leadership Team, the position comes with significant leadership responsibility, involvement in implementing NZTE strategy and leading and modelling our values and characters. We are looking for a collaborative global leader who will be able to draw on their deep understanding of the business eco-system in Greater China and will be able to work strategically within the complex and dynamic markets.You will be commercially savvy, accountable and focussed on the success of the organisation to fulfil our purpose. Internally, this includes building the capabilities of the team in the region to ensure the continuous improvement of our customers' performance. Externally, you will represent New Zealand in the market and oversee strong collaborative relationships with NZ Inc organisations; particularly MFAT and New Zealand businesses operating in Greater China.
