Cube Bakery is a locally owned Asian-style bakery located in central Wellington. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cake Baker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a variety of Asian-style cakes and pastries, including sponge cakes, chiffon cakes, cream cakes, and roll cakes. Mix ingredients and monitor baking processes to ensure consistent quality. Decorate cakes and maintain high presentation standards. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, following food hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering baking ingredients and supplies. Skills and Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as a baker or pastry chef (Asian-style preferred). Strong knowledge of cake-making and decoration techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Must be able to work on Saturday when required.
