Reporting to the General Manager Operations, Pact Packaging New Zealand (PPNZ) and part of a collaborative Operational team. This position is to provide strong leadership to the Wellington site, develop and drive a consistent culture of operational excellence across the business, focused on optimizing safety, customer service and manufacturing performance.

This is a great step up in your career to build on the strong operational aspects of the site to continue to deliver all agreed targets for the business, including:

Overall responsibility of the Business Unit performance
Health & Safety performance
Effective leadership and staff performance
Operational excellence and continuous improvement, including quality, plant reliability, productivity sales, cost and waste
Optimisation of profitability
Maintaining and building strong customer relationships
Creating a business that our people are engaged and proud of
Promoting training and development through front line leadership development and succession planning

About you:
Your personality and experience are able to proactively manage multiple activities and adapting to changing scenarios throughout your day. You love finding solutions and getting the work done through a great team of people leaders. You’re a leader that others want to follow. You create context and meaning for people by building frameworks and sharing experience.
To be successful in the role, you will need:

Minimum 5 years management experience in a manufacturing or Logistics environment
Leadership skills
Strong experience across operations, commercial and sales.
Professional & commercial knowledge and acumen
Able to work under pressure and show empathy when necessary
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Demonstrates good judgment and efficient decision-making skills
Customer service focus
Flexible and adaptable
Project management and multi-tasking skills
