**The Role - Te Tūranga**

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a **Senior Adviser** to join our newly formed **Insurance** team. This team supervises the conduct of the Insurance sector using an outcomes-based approach to regulation.

The Insurance sector is a relatively new area within the FMA's remit, it's an evolving space for us as we continue to work on the implementation of CoFI, a programme of work you will get to support. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how good conduct is measured within the industry.

As a Senior Adviser, you will actively engage with Insurance entities - leading meetings with senior management, facilitating industry workshops and conducting onsite and desk-based reviews to monitor the conduct of the Insurance sector.

In this varied and intellectually stimulating role, your stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills will be put to great use, in combination with your natural curiosity and ability to think critically.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can flex accordingly - because no two days are the same here We're particularly interested to hear from those who can demonstrate the following:

- Strong Insurance sector experience (across any type of role - not just compliance)
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Top notch communication skills - both verbal & written, including the confidence to hold tough conversations at times
- Leadership qualities - including previous project management and ability to mentor junior team members
