**About Us**
If you love working with a diverse group of people who are all about putting the customer at the centre and enabling choice, you’ve found the right company. The energy sector is transforming at a rate of knots, and we want you to join us and be part of this transformation. Vector is a proudly Aotearoa-owned company, which operates a range of innovative businesses delivering energy and communication services to more than one million homes and commercial customers across Australasia and the Pacific. These services include electricity and gas connections, solar solutions, high speed fibre, BBQ gas bottles, air and water purification and much more - all of which are transforming the energy sector in one way or another.

Because we live in a world that is changing fast, we must continue to identify and develop better solutions that will provide value, choice and service for our customers throughout New Zealand and beyond, so the environment and communities we love continue to thrive. To do this, Vector has a vision of creating a new energy future, which will help to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions for customers.

**About the role**
Our team’s purpose is to protect our network’s resilience and our customers while enabling network growth, maintenance and reinforcement works. We do this by caring and inspiring each other while serving our community - together we keep risk and disruption to a minimum, whilst keeping our people and community safe.

As Senior Operations Planner, you will help coordinate electricity planned work and its associated risks to our network, and Live Line operations approvals. You will also advise the wider team and works stakeholders on best technical methods to ensure system availability and security is maximised.

This role will suit someone who’s genuinely passionate about electricity networks, and could be the start of a rewarding career at Vector You’ll enjoy very tangible job satisfaction - you are directly contributing to keeping Auckland online and powered up each day, and in so doing giving back to the community.

You’ll also be joining a very dynamic environment, where you’ll be presented with different challenges to solve each day, and with plenty of career opportunities for you to develop and grow.

Please note that, as you are working within the Control Room, there is no flexibility to work from home in this role. We can, however, accommodate flexible hours around the core part of the day. There is no requirement to work weekends or shifts in this role.

**Who we are looking for**
- Electrical field knowledge and experience is highly desirable, as are relevant qualifications
- Your analytical mindset will be a key strength, which you’ll make good use of when analysing load profiles and interpreting trends and data to draw meaningful interpretations
- You’ll also have strong communication skills, helping you liaise effectively with a broad spectrum of stakeholders across Vector and externally with field service providers and customers.

**What we can offer you**
We love working together to create a new energy future. If you want to be part of an organisation with a real and tangible purpose, Vector could be the place for you.
We offer:

- A fun and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
- Flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
- Health and wellbeing support
- Great benefits that reflect the importance of family

Vector engages a workforce made up of people and teams with diverse skills, values, backgrounds and experiences.
