- Te Ihuwaka is uniquely positioned to provide independent and objective advice, which is highly valued by decision makers and stakeholders.
- You will lead work that has real impact on education outcomes in New Zealand. Over the past 12 months, Te Ihuwaka has advised government on what needs to change across a wide range of issues including mathematics teaching, school attendance and support for new teachers.

- You are a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of New Zealand's policy environment.
- You don't need a research background - we have an established method, and if you have experience at director level in government, either in policy, strategy or research roles, and are willing to learn, we can teach you how we do our work. You'll be supported by technical experts in research.
- You will bring project leadership experience, exceptional writing skills and a collaborative approach to your work. Our leadership team is collectively responsible for the delivery of our work programme, so being able to flex to help your colleagues succeed is a must.

- You will also have knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Tikanga, Te Reo and Te Ao Māori
This is your chance to help shape education in Aotearoa New Zealand, contribute to building the evidence base for education, and to see your work have a real impact on education outcomes.
