Description Clinical Director

The role of Clinical Director involves providing direct clinical care and improving outcomes for rural communities in the north.

You will be a proactive clinician with excellent communication skills, able to build strong working relationships with hospital teams.

Experience as a clinical lead in a rural hospital setting is essential, along with knowledge of medical staff, rostering, and day-to-day operations.

A key component of this role is providing a high-quality, cost-effective service that meets the objectives of three rural hospitals.

We are looking for someone who can make a positive contribution to improving outcomes for our rural communities, particularly for Māori populations.

This is an opportunity to work in a service with a robust clinical governance structure, high standards of care, and a supportive team environment.

As Clinical Director, you will have access to leadership development opportunities and the chance to contribute to improving services.

We anticipate this role to be 1.0 FTE, including providing clinical care within one or more teams.

To be eligible, applicants must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand and have locum tenens and/or vocational registration.
