Do you thrive in an environment where you can be part of shaping something new?
Are you looking for a role that will have a positive impact in the justice system?
We are looking for an Advisor to support the Te Ao Mārama programme. This is a fixed-term role until July 2025 and is based in Wellington.

Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
The Advisor will support the Te Ao Mārama Programme by leading and contributing to the development of timely and accurate advice for Ministers and the Te Ao Mārama Programme leadership.
The Advisor is a key member of the Advisory Services Team within the Te Ao Mārama Programme. The Advisory Services Team provides advice to Ministers, the Judiciary and Senior Management to enable them to be informed of progress and to make decisions at critical points in the life of the Te Ao Mārama Programme.
The Advisory Services Team also plays a critical role in supporting the machinery of government, including preparation of Briefings to the Incoming Minister, Annual Reports and responses to Parliamentary Questions and Official Information Act Requests.
You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled advisors whose work programme will span across a wide range of topics: from community engagements and developing reports, through to dealing with complex operational policy and implementation matters.
This opportunity calls for an Advisor looking to expand their experience, and looking for role with a high level of flex and change. This may include taking the step up in your career, and getting involved in analysing and providing advice on increasingly complex issues and learning to take the lead in the development of pieces of policy work under active coaching.
On a daily basis, you will be working alongside and learning from more experienced policy, programme management, engagement and implementation practitioners.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience

- Relationship skills: Do you care about helping people and have a strong sense of integrity? Are you self-aware and trustworthy, with a willingness to learn from others?

See the job description for more information about the skills and experience needed for the role.
