**The opportunity we have**:
Within your new role you will work as part of our diverse team of mechanical engineers in Wellington, with individuals experience in the rail industry ranging from 1 year to 40 years.

Your new team forms part of our Rolling Stock Asset Services Group and the wider KiwiRail Whanau.

**Key Accountabilities**:
- Servicing & Maintenance of Kiwirail rolling Stock- Operations
- Records Management & Policy Responsibility
- Health and Safety

**What skills are we looking for**:
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly enthusiastic and enjoy a role that includes following procedures, instructions and problem solving
- Ability to identify and rectify faults
- Prior experience in a heavy engineering, mechanical or automotive industry fields would be seen as an advantage but not essential
- Willing to learn & available to work flexible hours as required due to the nature of the role
- Have a full, clean Class 1 NZ driver's licence. (Forklift and F endorsement desirable)- High level of physical fitness and be health and safety focused
