Our maintenance teams at New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) are seeking interest from North Island based qualified **Mechanical and Electrical Tradespersons** who are looking for the next step in their career. Our site is situated at Tiwai Point, Invercargill, and if you enjoy the great outdoors there's much to do and see all within driving distance. Our team members enjoy living in this family-friendly community with iconic Queenstown close by and the scenic Catlin ranges at your doorstep.

Every hour of every shift, your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.

Reporting to our **Crew Leaders **and **Superintendents**, you'll join our close-knit, proud and hardworking teams. Joining our Tiwai whānau as a Tradesperson, our maintenance teams work across a variety of departments including:

- Key aluminium production areas including Casting & Logistics, Reconstruction and Carbon Maintenance
- Mobile Equipment Workshop
- Mechanical Workshop
- Power Supply

Whilst the tasks vary depending on department, your formal trade qualification will see you perform fault finding across either planned or breakdown maintenance within our asset management teams. For Mechanical Trades, our workshops service over 200 items of heavy industrial equipment and we have departments which offer fabrication/fitting/maintenance on fixed plant also. For Electrical Trades, whilst we have positions available in our asset maintenance teams, we also have a Power Supply team who work on both maintenance and operational tasks. This provides you with a unique opportunity to develop your skills in HV switching if of interest.

You’ll communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders as well as work both autonomously and as part of a team, all coming together to support the production of low-carbon, high-purity Aluminium.
- 4 on / 4 off Day Roster
- 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off Shift Roster
- Monday to Friday Day Roster
- 7 Days / 3 Off / 2 Days / 2 Off (Mobile & Mechanical Workshops)
