We are seeking a clinical psychologist at any stage of their career who enjoys working within a supportive team environment to provide consultation, assessment and therapy to improve the wellbeing of adult consumers with significant mental health issues. You would enjoy some travel around our scenic rural regions to provide local clinics, while having all the benefits of a thriving major city just 30 minutes away.

The beautiful area of the South Waikato, King Country and Ruapehu District provide diverse and exciting lifestyle opportunities (with lower rents and house prices than the larger cities). The major city of Hamilton is a short drive away and provides a viable alternative for those who prefer urban living. There are many excellent local schools in the regions and a wealth of options for recreational and outdoor activities. There are approximately 60 psychologists working across Te Whatu Ora Waikato and there are close ties with the University training programme, so there are many opportunities for collegial links and clinical supervision.

Te Whatu Ora, Waikato supports clinicians to develop professionally and provides support structures to undertake continuing Professional Development. As a team we encourage individuals to develop specialist skills and knowledge as appropriate to their area of work.

Mental health and addictions service deliver a variety of services across the Waikato region. We are a service undertaking a huge programme of change to deliver better outcomes to tāngata whai ora and whānau in our region. **Mōu | About you**
The successful applicant will need good psychological skills and knowledge alongside the ability to work within teams and systems. We are looking for someone who can provide a full scope of clinical psychology skills and evidence-based interventions both on a one-to-one and group basis and who is up to date with current clinical practice in psychology. You will also need to be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
