This is an opportunity for a psychologist to become part of the Manuwai team based in Hamilton, servicing the Waikato and Coromandel regions.
In this role, you will be providing clinical guidance and assistance to our tamariki and whānau, providing best practice models of assessment and intervention, whilst working within a Te Ao Māori framework.

- Starting salary between $99,315 - $110,351 per annum (in line with skills and experience) with annual progression

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
**Key requirements of the role include**:
- Applicants must be registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board to be considered
- Preferably have postgraduate qualifications in Clinical, Child and Family, Counselling or Educational Psychology
- A passion for working with tamariki, rangatahi and whānau and the networks that support them as well as a desire to make a difference
- Have proven practical experience in a wide range of applied psychology, including assessment, intervention, consultation, training and evaluation with tamariki, rangatahi, matua and whānau
- Experience in administration and interpretation of psychometric tests and instruments, alongside clinical ability to assess developmental functioning, trauma, behavioural concerns, risk, relationships and other domains in tamariki, rangatahi and matua populations
- Experiences in working directly with tamariki from 0 - 21 years old
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
- Some understanding of the Oranga Tamariki Act
