Our team provide Payroll and Bookkeeping support across a diverse range of clients. Due to changes in legislation and different payroll and accounting systems, our work is constantly evolving. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and highly accurate work to our Baker Tilly Taranaki stakeholders and on making our clients lives easier by providing them with the support they need to ensure their payrolls and bookkeeping functions are running efficiently and accurately.

**The role**

This role is full of opportunity There is always something challenging to be working on and the opportunity to be involved other more specialised areas of our business.

Our team process payrolls and advise clients across a diverse range of clients and payroll systems requiring a detailed understanding of the Holidays Act. We also manage the bookkeeping function for our clients which requires you to be proactive, and an inquiring learner who is good at problem solving & thinking outside the square to find solutions for clients. You will be fully supported by our team of Accountants so there is plenty of opportunity to learn and develop your knowledge while still working independently.

**About you**

We like to set people up for success, so to get the most out of this role you will have:

- Experience processing payrolls in PaySauce, Ace and Xero and solid knowledge of NZ payroll legislation
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several deliverables simultaneously
- Experience in larger commercial organisations or in a variety of smaller ones
- A good understanding of the basics of accounting
- To be passionate about helping businesses in all areas of their internal systems.
- Good communication skills, both verbal & written

This is a complex and deadline driven environment, so previous experience in payroll and bookkeeping, or extensive experience in one discipline is essential.
