At InterContinental Wellington we’re excited to be searching for a leader for our beautiful Club Lounge. Adjacent to Wellington’s waterfront, InterContinental Wellington is the most centrally located and experienced global five-star hotel in New Zealand’s capital city. InterContinental Wellington is host to culinary excellence and an array of food and beverage outlets to suit every occasion.

**Your day to day**
As Club InterContinental Manager, you’ll lead the seamless operation of our award-winning Club InterContinental Lounge. You'll lead the team to deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations, deliver an exceptional guest experience whilst maximizing revenue and profit.

Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain a high profile with guests, handle guest requests and complaints effectively and efficiently
- Lead the food and beverage service in the lounge throughout the day, including breakfast, afternoon tea & twilight drinks, as well as front desk elements including bookings management
- Anticipate guests’ service needs, understand their needs and preferences and act on them whenever possible
- Use your local knowledge and flair for making connections to build relationships with our regular Club members
- Recruit, train, coach and support all Club InterContinental colleagues

**What we need from you**
- A vibrant personality and strong communication skills to build relationships with guests and colleagues
- Experience hiring, training and developing staff with the ability to lead and inspire a team
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to collaborate well with others to achieve business goals
- 5+ years' experience in a restaurant, bar or hotel environment with at least 2 years at a leadership level
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar, Managers License and LCQ Certificate
- Luxury oriented, with attention to detail and the desire to exceed guest satisfaction
- Availability to work shift work including morning, weekends and public holidays
