The Portfolio Risk team forms part of the Risk business unit, and works closely with the rest of the organisation, as well as with a number of external parties and peer funds to ensure Guardians’ activities are consistent with current best practice.

**About the position**

In this role you will establish and maintain strong relationships with the Portfolio Investments and Asset Allocation teams, in order to provide in-depth risk analysis and support for the value-add business of the Portfolio Investments team, management and Board, and provide reporting as required. You will do this by developing data management and reporting capabilities, and actively identifying and implementing opportunities and enhancements across risk reporting processes to achieve a ‘best-practice’ approach.

You will achieve this through the following:

- Examine new products and assess credit risk and parameters for use.
- Calculate and report on the active risk of the Portfolio Investments team’s activities.
- Monitor and report on the Fund’s credit exposures.
- Provide leadership in risk-related projects.
- Support the other Portfolio Risk analysts as needed.
- Provide reporting to Board and management committees as necessary

**About you**
- Previous experience in a risk management function in investment banking or asset owner/manager.
- Sound knowledge of structured credit products.
- Experience/knowledge of the key components of operational risk frameworks preferred.
- Expertise in dealing with boards and senior management.
- Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong quantitative skills.
- Highly competent Excel modelling and PowerBI skills.
- Ability to code in Python would be advantageous but not essential
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
