Are you ready to take on a dynamic challenge in the world of risk? We're seeking a talented individual to step into the shoes of our incumbent on a career break and make an immediate impact. As a Risk Analyst in our second line Chief Risk Office, you'll play a pivotal role in meticulously overseeing compliance obligations within our organisation.

In this role you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our organization's adherence to policies and standards. Your role will involve providing sound business advice with confidence, navigating complex situations to ensure compliance at every turn. You'll leverage your expertise in data analysis to extract insights from information available, particularly related to compliance incidents, assessing the impact and root causes, and enhancing our mitigation strategies. Clear and effective communication will be paramount as you interact with stakeholders, both verbally and in written form, summarizing situations for senior leadership and reporting on circumstances. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in fostering team connection within our geographically dispersed teams through engaging activities and regular communication.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, open to locations across New Zealand however our preference is for someone to be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.

To be successful in the role, we’re looking for someone who has a unique blend of skills and qualities that set you apart. We're searching for individuals who embody the following traits:
**Responsive and Confident**: You're not afraid to take charge and provide sound business advice when needed, even in high-pressure situations.

**Data Analysis**: You can extract insights from data, particularly related to incidents and trends within the business.

**Incident Management Expert**:Assessing the impact of incidents, especially privacy-related ones, is second nature to you. You can swiftly determine their severity and take appropriate action, interacting with various stakeholders along the way.

**Tool Efficiency**: You may not be a pro at every tool, but you're quick to learn and efficient with Excel, Word, and our risk management system, myrQ.

**Clear Communicator**: Your communication skills shine, whether it's providing advice to the business or summarising complex situations in clear, concise written form.
