Specialist, Funding and Commissioning

As our Specialist, Funding and Commissioning, you will provide leadership and support in administering all funding delegations, budget and contract management. With a focus on continuous improvement, your expertise and guidance will ensure our dedicated team are utilising all possible resources effectively, in order that we deliver consistent, high quality outcomes for our clients
Taikura Trust is the region's single facilitator of needs assessment and service coordination of support services for people under 65 years, who have a physical, intellectual or sensory impairment, or autism. Above all, Taikura Trust is about bringing certainty to the lives of the people we support and walking the journey with children and families to live the lives they choose.
**About the role**
- Oversight of team processes, ensuring they are agile, compliant and fit for purpose
- Leading by example, taking ownership of a caseload and work allocation
- Collaboration with other teams and process owners across the organisation to ensure systems flow smoothly and key information is captured and easily accessible
- ‘Go-to’ person for support around investigations, complaint resolution, service delivery issues, process roadblocks and training gaps within the team
- Providing support to the Manager and deputising when needed, to represent the team with Funder/Providers, Whanau/Clients and across the wider organization Uphold Taikura values, ensuring respect and inclusivity are modelled in all aspects of the role.
**About you**
- Passionate about what you do and committed to Taikura values
- Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to relate to a diverse range of people
- Proven experience in co-ordinating support and services for people with a range of physical, intellectual or sensory needs
- Leadership and mentoring ability, with insight into learning styles and coaching Sound working knowledge of the health and disability, or education sectors
